Álvaro is an eclectic physicist with a strong passion for everything and anything. He got his Bachelor’s in Fundamental Physics from the University of Cantabria (Spain). After doing his Bachelor’s thesis and a year-long internship at CERN, he moved away from particle physics and into Poland. There, he joined Omni, where he’s been creating calculators, leading marketing campaigns, making videos, and, lately, translating our tools to his native language: Spanish. He is the true definition of a jack of all trades; nobody can predict what his next move will be.

As a man driven by curiosity, Álvaro couldn’t end up anywhere but a physics degree. Before that, and while doing his IB studies, he became a national handball referee and a part-time journalist in one of Spain's most prominent tech and science blogs. During his Bachelor's, his passion for new adventures took him to Norway and Switzerland. In the latter, he wrote his bachelor's thesis at CERN, developing a fast simulator for silicon-based particle detectors. He loved it so much there that he stayed for another year overseeing the gaseous detectors of the ALICE, LHCb, and CMS experiments. Then, he was on to new challenges, moving to Poland, where he pursued a Master's in Mathematical and Computational Modelling of Physical phenomena. It was at this time that he joined Omni and started his unmatched run of odd contributions. From making calculators to creating detailed internal documentation, to helping with and leading marketing campaigns, to video production, and, finally, to translating tools from English into his native Spanish, Álvaro has had contributions in most areas of the company. With a strong and sociable personality and inclination to help others and learn as much as possible, nobody can predict where he will be contributing next; only that he will be helping, learning, and applying his varied knowledge wherever he is.
