Gabriela’s career began with a solid foundation in mechanical engineering at Simón Bolívar University, where she worked on an innovative research project in air foil bearings. After graduation, she gained valuable experience as a project engineer in the oil and gas industry, contributing to projects like the Petrocedeño Main Station Upgrade Project and the José Antonio Anzoátegui Open Cycle Power Plant. She later transitioned into academia, conducting thermoeconomic research and teaching mechanics courses at her alma mater. Her teaching approach focused on making complex concepts easy to understand and providing real-world examples to make challenging material more accessible. Gabriela's professional work includes industrial process optimization, pressure vessel mechanical design, and piping inventory management. For the last one, she developed procedures that saved hundreds of hours of work, demonstrating her ability to boost efficiency in complex settings. Now at Omni, Gabriela's career has taken an exciting turn as a content creator! Here, she channels her passion for making knowledge accessible by crafting a variety of calculators, from chemistry to construction, and even food, including the Air-Fuel Ratio Calculator, the Arch Calculator, and the Popcorn Calculator. Lately, she’s been focusing on improving user experience and reaching even more people through multiple projects.
She earned a special mention for her final project on the innovative manufacture of a stainless steel air foil bearing. Additionally, she developed inventory optimization procedures that significantly reduced project execution time. Her impact also extended to academia, where she taught key mechanics courses at Simón Bolívar University, contributing to the academic growth of future engineers.
