How to convert square meter to cubic meter?

It's the easiest part of all the calculations!

Square meters (m²) are the units of area, while the cubic meters (m³) represent the volume. To transform them, you'll need a simple equation:

m² × m = m³

Let's put it into work! Our bathtub has the area of 2m² and height of 0.4 m. We'd like to calculate its cubature.

2 m² × 0.4 m = 0.8 m³ Our bathtub's volume is 0.8 m³.

How to convert linear meter to square meter?

Let's calculate it, nice and simple:

  • The linear meter (m) is a unit of distance; while
  • the square meter (m²) is a unit of area.

To receive 1 square meter we need to multiply 1 linear meter by 1 linear meter.

m × m = m²
That's why you always need two distances to calculate given area.

How to convert 1 square meter to square feet?

Let's do it step by step:

  1. Find the conversion factor.
The factor for transforming m² to ft² is 10.76.
  2. Multiply!

Area in ft² = Area in m² × 10.76

Area in ft² = 1 × 10.76

Area in ft² = 10.76

  1. That's it! You're done. 🎉
